The conference committee is planning a fantastic professional development event for next fall. But we need YOU to make it the best one ever!
The deadline for fall session proposals has been extended to June 15th.
We are still accepting proposals for the following session types: 60 minute Hands-on Mini Workshop or Product Demonstration, 60 minute Best Practice Session, and “Make and Take” lessons for our Elementary Super Session. (The 2-3 hour Hands-on Workshop proposals closed on May 15th.)

Awards Nominations Needed
WAEA is now accepting nominations for Art Educator Awards to be presented at the 2016 WAEA State Conference. Please submit your nomination for outstanding educators that PARTticipate, Educate and Advocate in your schools and districts. Several awards categories exist and the deadline for nominations has been extended to June 15, 2016.

May Board Meeting
WAEA hopes that you will be able to attend the meeting on Saturday, May 21st, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, at the Schack Art Center.
The main focus of the meeting will be the fall conference in Bellingham; don’t be left out. We need lots of help so please come and make your voice heard. Many exciting summer opportunities will also be shared.
Please join us after the meeting for Chuck Close Prints: Process and Collaboration, which opened on Thursday, May 12. The cost for the exhibit is only $10.00, so please be sure to have payment ready when you come to the meeting. Parking is free on weekends.
